- Accumulator
- Accumulator is another name for a parlay, where multiple selections are linked together and their odds multiply for a bigger payout.
- Arbitrage
- Arbitrage is betting on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- Asian Handicap is a handicap bet that removes the draw option and uses half-ball or quarter-ball lines to reduce ties.
- Bankroll
- Bankroll is the total money you have set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- Bet Builder is a tool that lets you combine different markets from the same match into one custom wager.
- Bonus
- Bonus is promotional credit or extra funds a sportsbook offers, often subject to conditions before withdrawal.
- Cash Out
- Cash Out lets you settle a bet before the match ends, so you can lock in a profit or limit a loss.
- Free Bet
- Free Bet is a no-cost bet token you can use to place a wager, with winnings usually returned without the stake.
- In-Play Betting
- In-Play Betting is placing a bet on a match after it has started, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Juice
- Juice is the commission a bookmaker adds to the odds, representing the built-in profit on each wager.
- Kelly Criterion
- Kelly Criterion is a formula that calculates the optimal bet size based on your edge and the odds offered.
- KYC
- KYC means Know Your Customer, a verification process required by law to confirm a bettor’s identity and prevent fraud.
- Line
- Line is the set of odds or point spreads offered for a betting market; also called the betting line.
- Market
- Market refers to the list of betting options for a specific event, such as match winner, total goals, or player props.
- Moneyline
- Moneyline is a bet on which team will win the match outright, with odds shown as a positive or negative number.
- Odds
- Odds indicate how much you can win relative to your stake; higher odds mean a larger potential payout.
- Over/Under
- Over/Under is a bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- Parlay is a single bet that combines two or more selections; all must win for the parlay to pay out, giving higher odds.
- RTP
- RTP stands for Return to Player, the percentage of total wagered money that a game or bet returns to players over time.
- Self-Exclusion
- Self-Exclusion is a tool that lets you block yourself from betting on a site for a chosen period to help control gambling.
- Spread
- Spread is a point handicap set by the bookmaker to even the match, and you bet on whether a team will beat that margin.
- Stake
- Stake is the amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Unit
- Unit is a standard bet size used to track performance, usually a small percentage of your bankroll.
- Vig
- Vig, short for vigorish, is another term for the bookmaker’s fee charged on each bet.
